Brain Balance Achievement Center of Raleigh, NC has been designated a Board Certified Cognitive Center (BCCC), granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES).The designation requires at least 80% of student-facing staff at each location complete a training and certification program that focuses on working with individuals with a variety of needs, such as anxiety, dyslexia, autism and ADHD.

Brain Balance was founded in 2007 and currently has more than 100 centers. Brain Balance employs a personalized and integrative approach through sensory engagement, physical development, academics and nutrition. This new training program will give our team an even greater understanding as they work with students who face challenges with attention and focus, anxiety, learning, socialization and more.”

Brain Balance of Raleigh serves students inside of the center, as well as participates community events. The center has taken part in special needs fairs, elementary school carnivals, and provided gift baskets and certificates for other fundraisers. Each fall, the center takes part in the Teal Pumpkin Project, which encourages families to provide non-food treats to children as a means of inclusion to those with allergies and/or dietary restrictions. Additionally, the staff connects with its students’ schools to align goals and assist each student as much as possible. This teamwork approach between center staff, parents, teachers, and administrators has proven to be extremely beneficial for all involved, according to center staff. The center also holds monthly complimentary seminars that address the root causes of behavior, academic, and social difficulties. Parents come to these seminars seeking answers about what their child is going through, as well as to learn more about what our program can do to improve their lives.
