Faith Art Studio has now earned the Certified Autism Center™ designation by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), which is awarded to organizations who have completed autism-specific training and certification.
Families with individuals on the autism spectrum and autistic adults often may not feel understood or included when searching for extracurricular activities. By completing the Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) certification, Faith Art Studio is working toward ensuring as many individuals as possible can feel welcomed and enjoy their programs. Faith Art Studio is a bilingual Christian-based studio that offers step-by-step canvas painting, workshop classes, and more for artists of all levels. They work with young children to seniors all over Connecticut with in-studio, private event, and in-home options available.
“Faith Art Studio’s mission is to enhance lives through fun, inspiration, creativity, and self-expression,” said the owner of Faith Art Studio, Christine Polanco. “We strive to encourage faith and personal greatness by sharing our wisdom and the gospel through our classes to create a lasting impact on each student’s life.”
For more than 20 years, IBCCES has been the industry leader in cognitive disorder training and certification for education, healthcare, and corporate professionals around the globe. IBCCES provides evidence-based training and certification programs created in conjunction with clinical experts and individuals with autism to provide professionals serving individuals with cognitive disorders a better understanding of what these disorders are, industry best practices, and the latest research in these areas.
“Seeing organizations like Faith Art Studio embrace the training and standards set forth by IBCCES to help their team encourage individuals on the spectrum through creative outlets is wonderful,” says Myron Pincomb, IBCCES Board Chairman. “We’re excited that Faith Art Studio has taken these steps to be a leader in their area.”
IBCCES also created CertifiedAutismCenter.com, as a free online resource for parents that lists certified locations and professionals. Each organization listed on the site has met the Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) requirements.
