Organizations committed to supporting neurodiverse individuals and promoting accessibility can achieve specialized designations through ongoing training and certification. A Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) is a facility or organization where at least 80% of staff are highly trained and certified in autism and sensory awareness to better serve autistic individuals, and those with cognitive differences or sensory sensitivities. A Board Certified Cognitive Center™ (BCCC) completes comprehensive training in autism, ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, and other cognitive and mental health considerations to enhance the quality of care and support provided. A Certified Neurodiverse Workplace™ (CNW) demonstrates a commitment to creating inclusive environments by recognizing the strengths of neurodivergent employees and completing targeted training. Certified organizations include healthcare, education, and community-based entities that prioritize accessibility, inclusion, and the overall well-being of individuals. IBCCES has recently added the Accreditation for Comprehensive Student Wellbeing™ (ACSW) program; this credential recognizes educational facilities that have undergone extensive training to understand and support students with autism, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. The Down Syndrome Center of Excellence™ (DSCE) certification program by IBCCES recognizes organizations with highly trained staff and specialized expertise to provide exceptional care and support for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
