Scientific Center for Autism and Developmental Disorder (SCADD) is the first center of its kind to become a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) in Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This designation is granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to organizations that complete autism-specific training and certification through IBCCES.

“We are proud to be the first autism day program to become a Certified Autism Center™ in the MENA region. We have been on this path for more than 10 years and have been dedicated to following the latest evidence-based practices,” said Mohammad Abu Dalhoum, CEO of SCADD. “We pursued certification to enhance our two Board Certified Behavior Analysts and RBT certified therapists’ knowledge and understanding of autism and ensure they are following the best practices.”

SCADD provides support services such as assessment, early intervention, behavioral therapies, and inclusion services for individuals with autism and other cognitive disorders, as well as day program assistance both in-office and home-based.

“IBCCES is excited to work with SCADD to build upon their team’s expertise. Our specialized programs will help their team do what they do best – help individuals with autism and other disorders,” said Myron Pincomb, IBCCES Board Chairman. “We applaud the SCADD team’s dedication to serving the autism community and their commitment to ongoing training and certification.”

For more than 20 years, IBCCES has been the industry leader in cognitive disorder training and certification for education, healthcare, and corporate professionals around the globe. IBCCES provides evidence-based training and certification programs created in conjunction with clinical experts and individuals with autism in order to provide professionals serving individuals with cognitive disorders a better understanding of what these disorders are, industry best practices, and the latest research in these areas.

IBCCES also created CertifiedAutismCenter.com, as a free online resource for parents that lists certified locations and professionals. Each organization listed on the site has met the Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) requirements.
